Free & Reduced Lunch/Meal Applications
Applications for Free and Reduced Meal are sent home at the beginning of each school year. There is also a copy on the district website. If your student was on the Free & Reduced Lunch Program last year, you still need to re-apply this year, apply now. You can at any time in the school year apply for the Free & Reduced Price Meal Program.

Offer vs. Serve Information
Lunch Offer versus Serve Policy - Monroe Township Board of Education
A school lunch eligible for federal reimbursement shall offer five (5) food components in the appropriate amounts per grade grouping:
1. Fruit
2. Vegetable
3. Grains
4. Meat/Meat Alternate
5. Milk.
Students are allowed to decline two (2) of the five (5) required food components but must select at least ½ cup of either fruit (or fruit combination) or ½ cup of vegetables (or vegetable combination) or ½ cup of a fruit/ vegetable combination. After selecting the ½ cup fruit or vegetable, students must select at least two (2) additional components in the full amounts (per grade group requirements) to count toward the reimbursable offer versus serve meal.
The student’s decision to accept all five (5) components or to decline two (2) components shall not affect the price charged for the meal. The lunch is priced as a unit. Signs are posted to assist students in identifying a reimbursable meal under OVS Select one. Offer versus Serve is the policy in all school cafeterias.

Wellness & NutritionMonroe Township's School District cafeteria is meeting the strict federal nutrition standards for school meals and snacks, ensuring that they are healthy and well balanced and provide students all the nutrition they need to succeed at school. Now is a great time to encourage your child(ren) to choose school breakfast and lunch!
Through our Live Well Program, school meals offer students milk, fruits, vegetables, proteins and grains, and they must meet strict limits on saturated fat and portion size. School lunches also meet additional standards requiring:
